ShimanoACP: Verify Your Product's Authenticity
ShimanoACP is a free Android application developed by SHIMANO INC. that allows users to verify the authenticity of their purchased Shimano products. By scanning the 2D barcodes attached to the product package, the app can determine if the product is genuine or not. The app supports three languages, Japanese, English, and simplified Chinese, and users can change the language in the Settings menu.
It is important to note that ShimanoACP may receive location data and specific information from the user's mobile device. However, to protect the user's personal data, the accuracy of the location data and specific information will be lowered, and the data will be masked. To use the app, users need to follow a simple process. First, prepare the product package and the 2D barcodes attached to it. Second, select the 2D barcodes Verification from the menu. Third, scan the 2D barcodes using the camera. Fourth, if the product is genuine, the app will display the number of past verifications and the last verification date. If not, users are advised to contact the distributor from which they purchased the product.
